Reproductions
Our reproductions of the classics are simply that — "REPRODUCTIONS". They cannot and should not be called "ORIGINALS". In some cases the original names might have copyright protection or have a trade mark; thus all customers must point out that the furniture is a reproduction, not original. All the classic furniture is made to the highest standard matching the originals. Your Statutory Rights are not affected by any of the following terms and conditions.
Contracts
Once we receive payment an email will be sent to the address provided in your order form. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.
Price
The price payable for goods that you order are as set out on our website. From time to time our suppliers may increase prices, impose duties or tax charges, or if we have made a typographical or system error showing the incorrect price, we are entitled to amend the price. If this does happen we will inform you before your item has been shipped.
Payment
Payment takes place immediately after your order has been made. Payment options are: credit/debit cards, bank transfer or PayPal (PayPal payments are subject to a 2% handling fee), without any deductions.
Foreign Taxes and Import Duties
Foreign orders may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches its destination country. You must check with your local authorities to find out what charges are applicable.
Product
We have tried to represent the actual colours of our products on the website as accurately as possible, but 100% accuracy is not possible due to the configurations of users' screens. All goods are covered by a 12-month guarantee against manufacturing faults.
Availability of Goods
All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these and we will refund any monies already paid. Most manufactured-to-order items have a lead time of 3–8 weeks — please view individual product pages for approximate lead times.
Cancellation
You may cancel your order up to the end of the 3rd day from the date your order was placed, providing your items have not already been sent. To cancel, notify us in writing at info@midcenturymodernfurniture.co.uk quoting your name and order reference number. If you wish to cancel after the 3rd day but before shipping, a fee of 50% will be deducted from the original price to contribute towards material and production costs. Orders cannot be cancelled once shipped.
Overseas Purchasing
Overseas buyers must obtain all necessary customs permits and pay any import duties applicable to import products from our company. Customs policies differ from country to country. You agree that you are the sole importer of the product(s) and are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and any related levies.
Warranty / Guarantees
All our products are covered by a 1-year guarantee from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects arising under normal use. Our warranty can be extended for a fee to a maximum of 5 years. The guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear, neglect, abuse, misuse, or damage due to water, heat, weather, fire, or accidental damage by a third party.
Delivery
We aim to deliver products within 3–8 weeks; in exceptional circumstances delivery may take up to 10–12 weeks. See our Delivery Information page for full details.
Returns
If you would like to return your purchased goods, we are happy to arrange a refund or exchange, provided the items were not pre-ordered or customised and that we are notified within 1day of receipt of delivery. We will refund the sum paid for the goods, excluding a 20% restocking fee and any original and return delivery charges, within 30 days of cancellation. The original packaging must be unopened and undamaged in a resalable condition.
Personal Information
We only collect personal information from online visitors on a voluntary basis during registration or order placement. We maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information you have provided.
